Our ‘Free Shop’ is open on Sunday 11 August from 11-1 for rummage and collection. From 1-2pm you can drop items off. Please check with us via email or Facebook if items are quite large. We have limited space.
We will NOT be open on Tuesday 13 August for our refugee session this week due to a shortage of volunteers.
We will be having a ‘Free Stall’ at Freshers Week at the University of Reading in September, giving out items that students may need when setting up home. Around 5,000 new students come to Reading each year, and each will need essential items which they will typically buy new. Much of what is bought each year – mugs, cutlery, glasses, crockery, bottle-openers etc- are already sitting unused in our houses. Let’s use what we have and create a sharing economy. Please think about a clear-out of your kitchen draws and cupboards and bring us unwanted kitchenware, and other useful household items.
